Travel expenses
The gender distribution in the allocation of funds for travel expenses is monitored at regular intervals. The costs for business trips and travel allowances, for trips financed from the global budget and from third-party funds, as well as potential gender differences in the number and duration of trips for academic and administrative staff are examined.
Teaching workload and awarding of external teaching assignments
Gender differences in teaching workload are shown for both internal and external teaching for the individual faculties. The respective semester hours per week in teaching are taken into account. As there is a comparatively large scope for balancing gender ratios in the area of external teaching, particular emphasis is placed on this in the reporting.
Gender differences in the extent of employment
Gender differences in the extent of employment in the individual employment groups are also analyzed at regular intervals. The aim is to find out whether women in the respective employment groups are more frequently employed part-time than men. However, gender differences in the extent of employment say nothing about employee satisfaction, which is why additional surveys are required in this area in order to be able to evaluate gender differences in the extent of employment. As part of the 2013 and 2023 WLB survey, the reasons for part-time and full-time work among staff were therefore examined in more detail. However, the issue of "voluntary" part-time work is extremely complex, as it is linked to caring responsibilities.
